Talos by Ray Harryhausen
Raven Armoury worked with by the The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation to produce full and half size limited editions of a sculpture of Talos made by Ray Harryhausen in the 1990s.
As the original animation model, who starred in the 1963 film Jason and the Argonauts, had deteriorated significantly, Ray made this sculpture to create a permanent reminder of Talos. The bronze Ray made for himself can be seen on page 216 of The Art of Ray Harryhausen.
Raven Armoury limited editions
For this full size reproduction Raven Armoury were loaned the original mould made by Ray. Waxes for lost wax casting into bronze were cast directly from his mould.
Talos was cast as a numbered limited edition of just nine full size bronzes (sold out) and 25 bronze sculptures at half size.
These sculptures were hand made by Raven Armoury in association with The Ray & Diana Harryhausen Foundation.
